This is a message directed towards Democrats in Super Tuesday states, or people from other political parties who live in open party states.
I support Barack Obama because he is a voice for progressive change. He speaks to the best aspects of humanity, and inspires hope and optomism. He breaks the stereotype of the angry liberal. He opposed the war, even when it was not popular. As a nation, we would take a giant step towards improving race relations in America by electing the first African-American president. Nonetheless, Obama has made himself a candidate who both honors the African-American struggle for freedom, and wishes to hear the voices of all people, regardless of race, political party, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
I do not dislike Hillary. When I was a kid, she was my role model. She is intelligent and seems like an excellent planner. However, much of the country hates her, particularly many Republicans. Most likely, a Clinton nomination would be a sacraficial lamb on the altar of McCainism.
Okay, I'm going to give you guys the old cliche about
voting that you probably got in every government class you ever took in high school. Voting is our civic duty as Americans, and one of the only ways that
we can impact our political process. Plus, if you don't vote, and have the opportunity, you have little valid justification for complaining about elected
leadership. Finally, what do you have to lose by voting? It takes maybe an hour of your time. You can even get paid time off work to vote. I challenge
you to find a disadvantage to voting. So, even if you don't vote for Obama, which I highly wish you would consider, make sure you get out and vote today, or whenever your state has their primary. For more info on Obama, you can view this video:

Peace and love, and vote for Barack!
I certainly have no problem with a U.S. president whose name is Hussein, in fact I find it kind of cool. But I am a bit worried about his inexperience, especially when it comes to international affairs, we need someone who will work better with us (we as in Europeans) than Bush did and someone who has the ability to play a key role in combatting global warming, poverty and someone who can truly combat terrorism, rather than using terrorism as a magic word to justify his invations and wasting billions of dollars of U.S. tax money on so-called aid (e.g. building swimming pools in Iraq and sending it down the Hailliburton black hole).
'm a bit skeptical about Obama's abilities in this area but if he wins I'd certainly give him the benefit of the oudbt and will be curious to see how he fares as president, it will affect the entire world how the next president turns out.
And, I disagree about not voting cancelling your right to political opinions, not voting can simply state that you do not find any of the candidates inthe running trustworthy enough to take on the job, silence is also an opinion, however this is true if you have definite opinions but are too lazy to go out and vote, that's an entirely separate affair.
Waiting with considerable curiosity.

Someone give me three solid solutions Obama has come up with on his platform. I'm not talking about platitudes like, "Yes we can!" or, "It began with a whisper." What are three things he's going to do that will crystalize into action?
I'm a Republican and I can't stand Hillary, but at least she's got aplan, screwed up as it is. What does Obama hve besides hype?
Go Macaine at least he has balls and knows what he's good and not good at.
I just can't get my mind aroudd a president barak I mead really now it's not even worth voting democraticly this season. so I guess vote republican but not a really good choice their either.
In my opinion, barack Obama has lots of experience as a senator of Illinois and in the U.S. Congress as well as as a lawyer and organizer. Hilary has one thing that some say is more experience and that is living in the White House with the president. To me, it's like saying that an observer has as much experience as the president himself. As for his plans, his plan for health care is to cut costs for people and make children have to have coverage. This is compared to Hilary's plan to actually take money out of our pay checks to give us health care. I don't know about you guys, but I'm broke as is and I can't afford it. He also plans to have a middle class tax cut instead of a cut to the wealthy.
I haven't really been keeping up with all their platforms, due to my insane classes, but from what I hear, Obama keeps going on about Ragonomics. Is that very wise?
To the people who speak of experiennce,
the inexperienced ones can often be the best.
australia has just elected a reasonably inexperienced man to be PM, but, he's looking to be one of the best we've ever had, he's young, innovative.
old dogs don't learn new tricks easily, but new dogs learn them well. give Abama a chance!
yeah obomma!
Hillary has plans, but plans with no backing. She will put money for this that and the other but she never really says where it's all coming from so I assume our pockets completely? I say give obama a try. I have allot to say on the subject but to save arguement I'll just say that.
It'll be an Obamanation.
and there goes b again lol.
Hmm, I haven't been watching the political debates much, but has any of you read the post under "News and Views" entitled "Obama's church"? That is what concerns me about him. Not lack of experience; because I agree with posters here about that, but instead, if this is true about his religion is that best for America? Don't get me wrong. I don't care what ones religion is, but given all the problems wright now... I wish we'd get someone with no religious affiliations, but there you have it...
I agree. I don't care about the man's religion just care about his qualifications and I feel he has it together for being the next President.
here is what scares me a whole llot. Referring agin to government class and the minds which can interpret: The history of the United States whowed a that people shared a common desire. The desire is for the government to serve the will of the people. This means, we the people, should have freedom as long as that freedom does not violate or interfere with the freedom of others. This is where the line of respect is exactly located. If you take a further look at the constitution, it is clear that many things are not known: We can start with piracy in software and music. The founders of the constitution certainly had their logic straight and the government is set up so that if instructions are followed to the letter, there are ways to counteract against decisions made by just a single person. What conflicts from that time to this date is the over time, presdients and especially Bush have really put the government to control the people. An example of this is the latest coming plan to create a "national ID". I am sure you'll find that in google. It is basically a card which will allow your complete identification to someone who reads it. This looks fine on the surface, and many people are too asleep and dreamy and just ignore the terrible pitfalls of this method. First, this would limit opportunities to a person who resides in the UNited States but has damaged or lost this ID. Secondly, the government can just control so much of you that it is not even funny. They plan to track where you have been, what have you been doing, your credit history, everything! This obviously, cancels the right to privacy. It takes away too much freedom that people could have. Bush has already made the government stimulate the market and more so lately the realty business! The media too is a highly missleading communication method. They of course spit out what is more convenient for them and let honesty fall. What worries me though is that none of these new candidates are getting the government out of hour lives. We are the ones that through voting and voice control the government's actions. The government is there again to serve the will of people--we are not there to serve the will of the government to make more money (taxes) nor to submit to complying with things. People nowadays can really not care about anything but the day they cannot do something just because it is of legal boundaries, they probably will remain confused as to why did this all originate. The question here is, how much more can the UNited States tkae/ how much opportunity is there to gain freedom again? I hope i have worded this clear enough and I also hope this has shed some light in the matter.
I am not a ass kisser, so that is why I didn't vote for Brock O Vomit.
The thing that scares me about the so called president is his view on health care.
To me it sounds like the heck with those who have life thretning diseases. My example is, my husband is on Dialysis. If everything passes the way the president wants things to go, my husband could dye of kidney failure because of the cost of Dialysis. If that happens the president will hear from me.
